Terms & Conditions

The short version: MediaSplit Pro is free software provided as-is, for your personal or professional use, with no warranty. You're responsible for having the rights to any video you process with it.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MediaSplit Pro ("the Software"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not download or use the Software.

2. License to Use

RathTech grants you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use MediaSplit Pro on your own Windows device, for personal or commercial purposes. You may not resell the Software, misrepresent it as your own work, or redistribute modified versions without permission.

3. Your Content Stays Yours

MediaSplit Pro processes video and audio files entirely on your own device. We never receive, store, or have access to any file you process with the Software. You retain full ownership and responsibility for all content you split, watermark, or reframe using the app.

4. Your Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to process, copy, or redistribute any media file you use with the Software.
You will not use the Software to process content that infringes copyright, violates privacy, or breaks applicable law.
You are responsible for backing up your original files before processing — see Section 6 (No Warranty) below.

5. FFmpeg & Third-Party Components

MediaSplit Pro bundles FFmpeg, an open-source multimedia framework, to perform local video/audio processing. FFmpeg is used under its own open-source license terms; see ffmpeg.org/legal.html for details.

6. No Warranty

The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every file format or system configuration.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RathTech shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including loss of data or media files — arising from your use of the Software. Always keep a backup of original media files before processing them.

8. Changes to the Software or These Terms

We may update MediaSplit Pro or these Terms at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Software after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
